Friends of Sargodhian Spirit Trust

Ahmed Khan, the son of a heroin addict and a government hospital maid in Balochistan, is now studying at one of Pakistan’s leading universities on full merit scholarship. Despite his humble background, the Sarghodhian Spirit Trust (SST), a non-profit organization set up by alumni of the PAF Public School/College Sarghoda, spotted the sparkle of learning in his eyes and educated him for five years at the SST Public School, Rashidabad, Tando Allahyar Sindh, a state-of-the-art cadet college, on full scholarship. There, Ahmed excelled, completing his O and A Levels with straight A’s and setting himself on the path to a new future.

SST has dozens of similar stories of boys and girls from poor families from remote areas, who were transformed by their education. Without the support of the Friends of SST this would not have been possible. This year, SST has spotted 53 similar cases from remote areas across all provinces of Pakistan, but has sponsors/funds for only 12 of the 53 deserving students.

Brilliant students we are unable to take due to shortage of funds are from Washuk, Kuchlak, Qila Saifulah (Baluchistan) Ghotki, Larkana, Badin, Omar Kot (Sind) Skardu, Astor,(Gilgit Baltistan) Wana, Bajour, Jhanda, Mansera (KPK/FATA) Rawalakot, Bagh (Kashmir) Pasur, Nankana Sahib (Punjab)
